How to get involved

Coaching is a fantastic way to contribute to the community as it’s all about growing ‘people’ as well as growing ‘players’.

If you are new to the world of coaching and would like some support to get started, contact our admin@cambridgenetball.co.nz to get some more information about the clubs in our area.

If you would like to learn more about how to coach, contact our admin@cambridgenetball.co.nz to find out about what you can get from coming along to practical workshops run locally in our Zone.

Support & Resources

Netball New Zealand provides both online and practical coach support and resources.

The online support is located on our new Sport Tutor - Online Learning which is being updated and added to all the time https://www.netballnz.co.nz/netball-nz/community/learning-and-development.html.

Community Coaches

The Community Coach Award (CCA) is for the development coach working with athletes from 12 – 18 years. It includes a set of modules which provide basic knowledge and skills to develop players at the community level. These modules are delivered and facilitated in a practical environment and are designed to help coaches understand the importance of using a player-centred approach.
